If kinda is all you can muster that's cool. I'm assuming at the same time you TOTALLY don't not want it.

I would say sell the v6 and DD the 5.0. It's obviously your choice and if what you have works you should keep it.

Its too expensive even for a smurf. It being a smurf does nothing for its value as it is just a Miata with 170000 miles on it. It probably is a short nose crank unless there has been a motor swap in its history. I think this guy is just trying to get people to pay for his mods. . . And the "strut tower brace" does nothing to keep the car level, as the Miata has shocks not struts.

Find a lower mileage car if you want a Miata, and find one without the "stumbling until it gets warm" problem, but that could just be an issue with timing which will lead to larger problems. If this was $3,000 cheaper then yeah it would be a good buy, but for $6,000 you can find a low mileage garage queen and you'd be much happier.

Overpriced, but that's a tasteful list of mods. I wonder what Panasports go for...

Won't take a cashier's check? It's got to be cash? Hmmm! I can think of only two occasions for such extraordinary seller's caution: trafficking in some form of contraband, where, even though the transaction is illegal at least both parties go away with what they came for, or a straight-up smash-and-grab. Miatas are not contraband.

Overpriced as heck.
Just scrolled to the top of the page... Odometer: 170k.

Uhh CP! That's ridiculously high.

That said, just two weeks ago I bought myself an NA and would definitely recommend one, but please don't pay that much. Really, they're simply not worth that much.
Mine was similar and came a hard dog roll bar, intake, and a few smaller things too. Strong mechanically, with fewer miles (125k), but with visual (paint and interior) issues at a small fraction of that dude's $6k asking price.

Ya, I am rethinking from what people are saying. But getting an Idea. My gran Torino was 8k and honestly it has fewer miles and such.

Great car nonetheless!
But there's just so many NAs out there - respectfully modded or even bone stock, super clean or meh, low mileage or high mileage - that it's almost impossible to justify paying that much for one, even though it does seem as clean as this one.

You just gotta wait a bit and something good is bound to come up. And the great thing with Miatas is that you don't even have to wait long to see what else the market has to offer because there's so many of them.

Ya a friend of my parents has a 1989 with like 9k ORIGINAL miles. put it in storage when they had their first kid and they lost it in the spare garage they had. (they are very prominent dentists lol) and it has never been touched by really anything.
